Dr. Schulten

Dr. Thad R. Schulten is a Board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon who was born and raised in Louisville, KY. Dr. Schulten is a graduate of St. Xavier High School, received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Centre College, and received his Doctorate degree in Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1996.

He completed his residency at Christiana Health Care Systems in Wilmington, Delaware and then went on to begin private practice in 2001. A diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Schulten also belongs to a number of organizations:

  • American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
  • Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
  • National Dental Board of Anesthesiology
  • American Dental Association
  • Kentucky Dental Association

His professional career has been devoted to all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice with special interests in implants and anesthesia. To keep abreast of the latest developments in Oral Surgery, Dr. Schulten always exceeds the continuing education requirements for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Dr. Schulten and his wife Michelle have 2 children: Trent and Meredith. When he is not practicing, he loves to spend time with his family, golf, and swim.


Dr. Harris

Dr. W. Ronald Harris was born in Millville New Jersey in 1941. He attended the University of Louisville and graduated in 1963. Following graduation he attended University of Louisville School of Dentistry graduating in 1967. Upon graduation he began oral surgery training at University of Pennsylvania Graduate school of Medicine, and completed four years at Bryn Mawr Hospital and also Pennsylvania Hospital. He completed his training in 1971.

After completing his residency he entered the Navy and served at Camp Lejune until 1973. Dr. Harris settled in Louisville, and opened his practice that year.

Dr. Harris was the first oral surgeon to become Chief of Surgery at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. Throughout his career, several articles have been published. Dr. Harris also belongs to a number of organizations:

He is married and the father of 4 children and 3 grandchildren. Dr. Harris enjoys auto racing and competes at a national level with the Sports Car Club of America.
