Meet Dr. Schulten

My name is Dr. Thad R. Schulten. I’m a Board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon. I was born and raised in Louisville, KY and I am a graduate of St. Xavier High School. I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Centre College and my Doctorate in Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1996. I did my residency at Christiana Health Care Systems in Wilmington, Delaware. I began private practice in 2001. I am a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and belong to a number of organizations:

• American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
• Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
• National Dental Board of Anesthesiology
• American Dental Association
• Kentucky Dental Association

I have devoted my professional career to all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice with special interests in implants and anesthesia. To keep abreast of the latest developments in Oral Surgery, I have always exceeded the continuing education requirements of Kentucky.

I’ve been married for fourteen years to Michelle, and we have 2 children: Trent and Meredith. I enjoy golf, swimming and coaching my children's sports.
